The Hangover Part II To Hit Theatres As Planned

The Hangover Part II will be released on schedule - complete with tattoos - after a copyright infringement lawsuit against studio bosses was thrown out.

Victor Whitmill, the artist who created boxer and The Hangover star Mike Tyson's face tattoo, launched a legal battle against Warner Bros. for using his copyrighted design in the new film without his permission.

Whitmill filed a lawsuit last Friday, calling for a federal judge to block the tattoo from being shown in marketing campaigns and in the film, but on Tuesday Whitmill's plea was dismissed.

Warner Bros., happy with the ruling, released a statement to Entertainment Weekly which reads, ?We are very gratified by the Court?s decision which will allow the highly anticipated film, The Hangover 2, to be released on schedule this week around the world.

"Plaintiff?s failed attempt to enjoin H2 (the film) in order to try and extract a massive settlement payment from Warner Bros. was highly inappropriate and unwarranted.?
